sound for sunrise, 100W Corsicana is a nearly 2 and a half hour site-specific sound work. With a duration that matches the time it takes from its appearance, for projected sunrise sunlight to slowly move across and down the NW wall of the third floor studio at 100W, Corsicana, TX, in the month of January, this sound work was produced through the systematic mapping of the shifting light forms onto a MIDI track, played through custom digital instruments made from granularly synthesized sound recordings recorded in Corsicana Texas.
